FSM Facilities Trials To Pescara Calcio

At Folino Sport Management, our goal has always been clear: create real pathways for Canadian players to be seen, tested, and given opportunities in Europe.

Over the past few weeks, we were proud to help organize and facilitate trials in Italy for three Canadian players with Pescara Calcio, a historic professional club with a strong reputation for player development.

This opportunity came together after a lot of communication, planning, and trust from both the players’ families and the club side. As with anything in football, these moments don’t happen overnight. There is a lot that goes into getting a player in front of the right people, in the right environment, at the right time.

How It Came Together

At FSM, we are always looking to identify players who we believe have the quality, mentality, and upside to compete in professional environments abroad. After monitoring these players and speaking with the right people, we were able to coordinate an opportunity for them to travel and train in Italy.

The three Canadian players were brought in to experience the professional environment firsthand, train within the club structure, and be assessed in a real football setting. For young players, that kind of exposure is extremely valuable. It’s one thing to have talent in your home environment, it’s another to step into a European football culture and show that you can adapt, compete, and perform.

More Than Just a Trial

For us, these opportunities are about much more than just a few training sessions.

They are about:

• exposing Canadian players to a higher level of football

• helping them understand the demands of the European game

• building confidence in professional environments

• and opening doors that may not have otherwise been available

Even just being in that environment teaches players a lot , from the speed of play, to the expectations, to the professionalism required every single day.

A Step in the Right Direction

Canadian soccer continues to grow, and there is no doubt that there is real talent here. But talent alone is not always enough, players need access, guidance, and the right connections to get in front of clubs abroad.

That is where we believe FSM can continue to make a real difference.

Helping facilitate this trial with Pescara Calcio is another step in what we are building: a trusted pathway for ambitious Canadian players who want to test themselves at the next level.
